Meet Your Photographer, Yiqian
I’ve been a portrait photographer for a decade — the exact age as my oldest child, who was my inspiration from the beginning.
Growing up, photography was my Dad's hobby, and he looked for every opportunity to venture out to practice, often bringing me along. Little did I know, my childhood adventures with my dad would later influence me to pick up a camera of my own and shape the way I parent.
Nature and photography were my survival tools as a young mom to two little boys. With each exploration, I learned the power of observation and storytelling. I built Luma Photos on those same foundations.
My goal in each session is to provide you with a framework — a place to explore, play, take in the sights and be in awe together — and let the natural rhythms of these curated experiences draw out the laughter and tender moments that shape the storyline. During our time together, I’m just as interested in getting to know you and your individual story as I am with creating beautiful images.
I think my job is an incredible gift: I don’t just preserve memories, but I help make them.
